Trick-or-Treating? Hmmm...

Ever wonder how trick-or-treating started? Some say that on the evening before the Samhain, people left food on their doorsteps to keep hungry spirits from entering the house. Festivalgoers started dressing in ghost, witch, and goblin costumes so wandering spirits would leave them alone. To this day, these are Halloween's most popular costumes. ^_^

And that is also where the Halloween Tree video is so good at explaining why the kids even dress in the costumes they do. Most have no idea why.

Hey...
I've never even seen that movie! I need to check it out! I know you told me about it a while back and that it's tradition in your house to watch it every Halloween! I need to do so!
